WOW!! This boy just continues to amaze us. He has been perfect in our eyes since day one as has never gone off of that perfection for even a day. He keeps getting stockier and I cannot find a single flaw in him no matter how hard I look. His color, conformation, disposition and size are impeccable, If he can pass this along to his offspring then we truly have all we can hope for in a jack. We are very proud of this gorgeous boy!!

Panache is a small but stocky little jack with a nice wide stance and a short, square body. He is a very sweet boy and is respectful of his jennets. With his first 4 foals on the ground now, we can confirm that he passes on excellent quality to his progeny. They are all lap donkeys and are show quality babies. Three of the four are true jet black. We are very proud of this boy and have his mother, 2 grandmothers and a grandfather in our herd. He and his offspring represent exactly what we are trying to achieve in our breeding program.

We knew the day this boy was born that we would be adding him to our group of First Class Breeding Jacks. We love everything about this boy and now at age 3 we know without a doubt we did the right thing. Along with the fact that he has never for a day been anything less than perfect in his conformation, he has a gorgeous small head and most importantly is a very sweet, lovable and respectful boy. We only bred him to one jennet for his first year which resulted in a beautiful little jennet born in September of 2014. See Lolli on that foal page. We are expecting two more of his offspring in Summer 2015 and will be putting several girls with him this Spring. Love, love, love this little boy!!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well this fine jack is worth a million. Not often do you come across a spotted donkey that has everything "right". Perfect legs with great bone, w-i-d-e chest and rear, square and compact body, lots of color, a great way of going, and a very attractive and short head with huge expressive eyes. Add to that a teddy bear personality and incredible presence. We had our eyes on this boy since we first saw him posted on Short Asset's website as a baby. Then we took a cross country road trip and saw him in person when he was 6 months old. We knew as soon as we saw him that he was the spotted jack we were looking for in our breeding program. We haven't regretted our decision and are continually amazed with this guy! We are expecting his first foals from a few select jennets in late Summer 2011. Be sure to check back with us and "Check Them out"!

Black Jack, no Cross
DOB:

Height @ 3 years: 29½"

Sire: Windcrest Little Dynamite, 32" Blk/Bwn
Grand Sire: Sunset Acres Hoops, 31½" Black NLP
Grand Dam: Windcrest Little Gidget, 32" Black

Dam: Double D Queen of Hearts 31½" Black
Grand Sire: Dewey Meadows Jackpot, 32" Black NLP
Grand Dam: McLeod's River Precious Gem, 33" Gray Dun

We purchased Rainier from Chris and Frank when he was just 2 weeks old. Then waited what seemed like forever until he was 6 months old to bring him home. All we could say was "WOW". How could such wonderful traits be in such a small package?? What an adorable little boy with such a nice wide chest and short stocky legs and the tiniest head with big beautiful eyes. And sweet as can be. Now as a two year old we are breeding him to a few select, small jennets. He has a great disposition and is easy to work with. Rainier gets stockier and more handsome every day and it is still packed into that compact and correct little body. He "WOWS" us so much that when Wannabe Ranch decided to retire from breeding donkeys several months ago we purchased his Dam who was expecting another little Rainier in March 2011. We also own 2 of his half sisters which tells you how we feel about his Sire's offspring!! His first foal is Mossy Oak's Minuet, a stunning, stocky and correct little jennet.

Congratulations to Bruce and Judy Riggs of Winterwood Stud in Gold Coast, Australia on your purchase of this fantastic jack and on 28¾" PDF Black Velvet! I never intended to sell this outstanding jack but was made a very generous offer and my 2 year old 27½" black jack, Panache', will be my new black herdsire.
